Yoga for Beginners

Saturday January 23; 2 pm to 3:30 pm; Lower Seaside Deck. Have you ever wanted to try yoga but felt intimidated to join a regular class? Have you been practicing yoga but just don’t seem to get some poses? Would you like to refresh your mind on the basics for yoga practice? The goal of this class is to provide an introduction to yoga from a beginner level. We will practice beginners yoga for 1 ½ hours including mindfulness. After the class Trudy will stay to answer any questions you may have.

Yoga at the Desk

Campus Life Yoga; Saturday January 30; 2 pm to 3:30 pm. In The East Room; Campus Life Building. Does your elbow hurt? Lower back ache? Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Want to work that out while studying? Join us for Yoga at the Desk. We will practice breathing techniques for focus and concentration; movements to prevent Repetitive Stress Injury; exercises to tone the body and mindfulness techniques for memory. The goal of this class is to provide a variety of techniques for releasing the stress of studying in the mind and body with little mini breaks right at the desk and often seated on a chair.
